European Design Stories represent an international curatorial project documenting various expressions of innovation in contemporary European design. Its mission is to investigate forms of innovative approaches among the emerging generation of author from various European countries. Behind each approach we can find a strong story of inspiration, motivation, trials and errors, which best do express the poetic dimensions of making in the design practice. We are ready to record such stories and transmit them to the broadest possible public through a range of public events and online activities. Our questions are: What are the perspectives of found approaches and stories in the context of innovation? What is their connection within individual European countries and across them? Can the innovation and stories behind stimulate transformative energy within society? Who are the storytellers today? The designers? Their objects?Design si going to be presented as important creative process, which is here to improve our lives. The project is intended to inspire the public and prevent it from considering design as something exclusive.
