European commitment for the Millennium Goals
Date du début: 1 mai 2015, Date de fin: 30 nov. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

“The European Year for Development should not be only about aid – what Europe gives - but also about the consumption choices that we make as citizens that affect global development.Having a European Year in 2015 for Development would be perfect timing. It’s the year when important global agreements to decide how to tackle global poverty will be negotiated. The next European year should aim to be an open public debate with citizens.” This was the statement that leads to develop a project about the consequences of poverty. Acepting the challenge from Marius Wanders (CONCORD member) this Youth Exchange should be INSPIRING : it should be a process in which all actors discuss and develop together a new thinking and new practice on development and develop a consensus on ‘what does global justice mean for Europe and its citizens? And PARTICIPATIVE: putting citizens and their views on global justice in the centre and making them the principal actors in the debate. This requires equal opportunity to voice their ideas and that of their organisations. It means going from ‘informing citizens to raise their awareness’ to a ‘joint discussion on their views of a just global development’. However when we speak about Development this can mean many things. It can mean positive aspects such has cooperation, aid, rights, social well fair but most of the times when we say Development we think about how to tackle poverty in countries seeking for development. What can Europe and youngsters do, to be a part of a better world were all the richness are equaly distributed. Development bring several issues that we can discuss especially wen we debate poverty and ways to fight it, however one of the consequences of poverty in several regions lead to a forced mobility from children, women and men all around the globe. Many times this kind of mobility is used by several criminal organizations that create world networks of traffcking of human beings used in the of purpose of exploitation. Exploitation shall include, at a minimum, the exploitation of the prostitution of others or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labour or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery, servitude or the removal of organs and other situations that threatans human life. Stating UNODC trafficking in persons is a serious crime and a grave violation of human rights. Every year, thousands of men, women and children fall into the hands of traffickers, in their own countries and abroad. Almost every country in the world is affected by trafficking, whether as a country of origin, transit or destination for victims. This project wants to bring awareness in youngsters about human trafficking and the creation of ways to prevent it and fight it, and also how to transmit it to politicians and most important to be active citizens and also aware citizens about wat happens in their own neighbourhoods and a huge problem that affesct people all over the workd with no specific profile, charateristics, religion, nation.....
