European Certificates Innovative Online Training Campus.

In this age of rapid pace of innovations and technological changes, the success oforganisations depends to a large extent on the continued learning and improvement ofits processes. Structured methods for innovation are needed. In 2003 - 2006 theinnovation manager profession has been developed by a Leonardo project (productinnovation, process innovation, market innovation) with guidance, courses, andassessment functions. At the same time an international standard for process innovation(ISO 15504) has been released in 2005. By the beginning of 2005 the industry sector ofautomotive and systems engineering issued a request to all suppliers forimplementation of ISO 15504 and innovation principles. The results of the EU innovationmanager project and the ISO 15504 standard directly match this need.In 2005 the European Quality Network has been created supported by the EU Leonardoda Vinci Program (Network Project EQN, 2005 - 2007). The overall objective of the EQNLeonardo network project was to establish an EU Certificates Association whichsupported by training organisations from European countries (currently organisationsfrom 18 countries participate) installs a set of quality criteria and common certificationrules which are applied across the different European regions in the Life Long Learningscope in the IT and services sector. This results in a pool of professions in which a highlevel of European comparability has been achieved by a Europe wide agreed syllabusand skills set, a European test questions pool and European exam (computerautomated by portals) systems, and a common set of certificate levels and a commonprocess to issue certificates. http://www.eu-certificates.orgThe objective of this project is to build on the established EU Certificates Association(www.eu-certificates.org, network for innovation in education, and pool of Europeanprofessions applying the same quality and certification criteria in EU countries based onthe European Qualification framework, Aug 2005 - July 2007, Leonardo Network) and tointegrate the results from a European research project which developed an integratedselective online learning platform system (EPI - Educational Partnership through ICT,2003 - 2005, ) to build an online learning system for all the professions for trainingorganisations from 14 European countries.
