European Bridge for the bright future

The Lithuanian NGO "Actio Catholica Patria" ( Applicant/Sending) will send 1 long term EVS volunteers , who will be hosted by the Association “International Scout Centre Rustavi (ISCR)”(Receiving Organization) . Project title: "European Bridge for the Bright Future"; Venue: Rustavi, Georgia; The volunteer will stay in Georgia for 12 months: Project activity dates: 01.07.2015-30.06.2016 The project’s mission: Support of European youngsters to promote available initiatives, projects and non-formal education activities for young people and children from Rustavi city. ISCR would like to host an EVS volunteer in their organization to give her and the local Georgian youth a possibility to exchange their experience, their views on numerous issues, thus breaking down any stereotypes, eliminating prejudices and experiencing similarities and differences between different European countries. Some tasks of the volunteer: -Regular weekly meetings with all local staff members -help with running of the ISCR office daily work; - to run conversation courses in English to kids and youth. - European club – to foster young people’s sense of European citizenship, to raise Volunteering awareness among Georgian youngsters with fewer opportunities and less-privileged backgrounds. -helping the ISCR program staff (As a one of active youth policy making NGO) to develop new ideas - Video club – to lead ISCR Video clubs together with local youth. -Scout Activities- learning about local scouts activities; sharing, initiating and implementing new idea's - 2 hours a week - spreading information about EVS and the “Erasmus+” Programme, during meetings with youngsters in local schools During the summer period the volunteer will take part in many different kinds of outdoor activities The project will extend the local youth and children’s opportunities to realize themselves in physical and intellectual fields, and to motivate their active participation in local/international projects.
