The project aims at putting in place a cooperation between the schools of the border area, through on-line contacts, meetings and common activities involving students and teachers. In order to ensure the participation of all the project partners the existing schools network - www.ragazzidelfiume.it - will be broadened and upgraded, so as to support information exchanges among the students, forum meetings among teachers and the presentation of the activities carried out by the schools. Special emphasis is placed on a comparison of the two school systems, an aspect that is pivotal to teachers exchanges and partly to students exchanges. The meetings are aimed firstly to present the web as an instrument, in order to facilitate its use to exchange information, observations and experiences, and to update teachers so as to ensure the implementation of the activities envisaged. As regards individual schools, activities are envisaged to put in direct contact the students of the two areas. Educational value is believed to be greater with smaller groups of students, in order to ensure that the meetings are not sporadic but represent the basis for a long-lasting work together. Priority is given to expressive activities and environmental research activities, so as to open a direct dialogue between the two areas. The subsequent availability online of individual experiences turns them into a shared heritage and becomes an inspiration for the other schools participating in the project. Other activities consist in the exchange of printed and/or electronic media.
