The project “Europe in diversity: 10 intercultural authors going digital and beyond” translates 10 fiction books, each from different EU country. Despite the high quality, winning EU prize for literature, and other prestigious international and national awards, having the status of best-selling and cult authors, majority of them have intercultural background, or deal with issues of diversities and hybrid identities. Thus, the project conceptualizes unique, extra added value also contributing against the stereotypes and fixed perceptions. The project would reach mix demographics in the country through the use of the available channels of bookstores, fairs, libraries and festivals. The promotional activities featuring both authors and their translators are complex, consisting of series of events in different places and in decentralized ambience. Digital promotion&distribution tools are envisaged to reach the diasporic, migrant communities in the EU, but also in other larger countries: Canada, USA, Australia where more mother tongue speakers live than within FYR Macedonia. German translation of excerpts of national authors and preparing catalogue for the Leipzig book fair is also envisaged. Copies of the catalogue will be distributed to other book fairs in Vienna, Basel, Solothurn and Frankfurt. Celebrating the International Translators day, 30th September, is another activity, consisting of debating the important translator’s issues, but also promoting EACEA project and the participating translators. Live streaming, online linkages and other similar activities would be also included. Goten web page would serve as a platform for the new digital promotion tools (extracts from the books to be read off and online, extensive presentation of the authors and the books, presentation of the translators, short promotional videos about the authors, the books, short videos from the promotions, audio-book excerpts). Books will be available in both paper and e-book format.
