Digital media have an important role in both everyday life and in Culture. For this reason, it has also a fundamental role to play in Education, by offering the opportunity to learn within both informal and formal approaches and by responding to the need to make sure the European educational system meets generational changes. In this sense ICT may become an important didactical tool not only of recreational value but, what is more important, as a mean to promote acquisition of Key and Transversal Competences, basic Skills (reading and writing) and to reinforce personal and community innovation capacities. Concrete Outputs: the project seeks to develop a pedagogical approach for Key/Transversal Competences acquisition, which is based on the use of media production and specifically on the production of Audio-visual Documentaries in format suitable for ICT channels. By creating the methodological basis for this technical product, the project translates a specific technical process (composed by several steps and "packs of techniques"), into a learning tool suitable to be targeted at multidimensional level. Each technical phase is in fact suitable to promote a specific competence: subject writing for communication, digital video recording and construction for digital competences etc. - Short term impact: Key/Transversal Competences as well as basic skills have been promoted on a target composite: 1) adults 2) pupils in the school setting 3) Adults and youngster in intergenerational learning set 4) University students5) Professional categories (teachers, social workers, project's coordinators, educational & training managers).Long term impact is foreseen at the level of education in the 4 areas covered by LLP. An internal updating of the educational system represents the starting point for an innovative didactic model, which should represent, in the long period, a stimulus for an education conceived as active, creative, critical and experiential.
