Europäischer Impuls für den Karrierestart in Betreuung und Pflege
Date du début: 1 janv. 2015, Date de fin: 31 déc. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Diakonisches Werk Bremen demonstrates to trainees and job starters in its care and nursing institutions the practical side of the European dimension and the carreer perspectives of their chosen professions by weeks of VET traineeship in respected institutions and servides of our Europen partners, offering elderly persons care and work with disabled persons. We include the vocational trainees in typical school-like training institutions for the care professions as well as trainees and job starters in the "dual" training for trade, administration and craft professions, which are trained in our care institutions as well. They should gain a sustainable professional perspective. In this project we realize in addition teaching and training assignments for the school teachers and the head and special staff members in our institutions with the same Europaen partners, where they could test and enhance their competences and play a part in the European process of care service and discussion of the European social demension. We promote a strong network for mandating and cooperation, that has impact far beyond the participating institutions. All participants gain personal and professional competences and last not least intercultural competence which is more and more important at their workplaces at Bremen and Germany as a whole. The participants learn about every day work in the visited place and reflect what strategies and tools are similar or different in special regard to work with disabled persons and care for (elder) persons with dementia syndrom. These clients wish mostly to stay in their familiar surroundings and social space or want - if institutional treatment is unavoidable - to keep a "space for their life". This challenges of inclusion are the same in all participating countries, cultures and institutions, but they are faced quite differently according to professional - financial standards and cultural traditions. The training and learning stays of both kinds enhance professional and organisational common understanding about European importance and added value of shared vocational training in Europe. Persons who started a professional life in the care and nursing service sector are often motivated by the face-to-face encounter with other people. We show them with a special impact how important it is even for Europe that they stay in these professions and understand their work as a "carreer" which has national and international dimensions as well and would lead them to trainers' and management positions. We use documentation and presentation tools which are developed on the European scale (European CV, mibility toos ...) and reflect during the whole project, in preparation and evaluation on ways and means to document and certificate abroad training stays and competences gained through them. We develop specific recommendation for the European discussion, for which we use the access to the European stage given by our European network association. In this field of work, Europe has to become a real and lively experience by encounters and face-to-face meetings. To start this in the area of VET will motivate people to realize and postulate this dimension in their later professional and life.long learning cycle.
