This project will be the next step on our path towards Europe and the global market. It is supposed to be an attractive opportunity for our students to get their working career started. With the experiences of running successful partnership-projects (Comenius and Leonardo ), first experiences in innovation transfer projects and participation in exchange programs of the district government, we now want to be responsible for the platform for students‘ and teachers‘ mobilities in the next school year, too. We will mainly focus on students of the study qualifying sector. Therefore we would like to send in total 12 students and 8 teachers (for supervision) in companies. The companies will be recruited with the help of our project partners. As in the last year we want to send 2 apprentices from the mechanical engineering department to France. With 6 students from the automotive department we will go on with the exchange with Finnland. This project we started within the TOI-Project "Development of competence in a web-based laboratory" this year. Apart from that we want to give 14 teachers the opportunity to learn, independent of the running projects, the school life and work in partner institutions and thus extend and stabilise our international contacts. All in all we hope that the internships will motivate and encourage our students to widen their horizons, gain new knowledge of other cultures, working and educational processes abroad. The mobilities are meant to prepare the students for lifelong learning as well as to minimize the drop-out rate of students and apprentices. Sending five teachers abroad is supposed to enhance their understanding of the school and working life in our partner institutions. They will learn new methods through work-related training and hence bring more transparency back into our educational system. Through cooperation and joint development of technical and methodological contents we want start to recognize the target parts of the training that are provided in other EU countries for the training in our school. Therefore, teachers from our school will prepare the stays of the students in close cooperation with the partners. The internships will be accompanied by visits and Internet documentation and communication closely. So that learners recognize the stay as an integral part of their education and improve their ICT-knowledge as well. Finally we would be delighted to significantly increase the number of participants on both students‘ and teachers‘ sides in order to improve their competences and increase the attraction of our school as place for learning and cooperation.
