Euromobilność - odkrywanie nowych możliwości
Date du début: 1 sept. 2014, Date de fin: 31 août 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The two-year overseas internship was implemented between 2014 and 2016. 32 students from ZSM no. 4 in Cracow who are studying in the profession of car mechanics participated in the project. The traineeship took place in Schkeuditz, Germany. The project was the answer to students' enthusiasm and wide interest in the previous project which was implemented in collaboration with Vitalis company. The main objective of the project was the increase of participants' qualifications in the field of car mechanics. So far, students have had the opportunity to learn and develop only at school and Polish garages as well as service stations. The internship abroad was aimed at familiarizing students with new repairing and organizational methods (tools and devices) as well as modern technologies, which students would not be able to discover while studying and working in Poland. Another purpose of the project was to get to know German automotive market which is one of the biggest in the world. We enabled our students to visit manufacturing plants of Volkswagena, Mercedesa and BMW. It was a unique opportunity for participants to gain inside knowledge about production and repair of German cars which are more often seen on Polish streets. As a result of gained experience and information, our students became more competitive on the job market where experts on German cars are sought. Familiarizing student with electromobility was also one of the most important principle of the project. By implementing the project we wanted to give our students a chance to become one of the first mechanics who know how to repair electric cars. Electromobility is becoming increasingly popular and for this reason Polish automotive market is in need of specialists in this field. Additionally, cultural and self-development of the participants were also vital aspects of the project. We hope that through contact with other nationalities as well as gained knowledge and expertise, the participants have become more open-minded, tolerant and self-confident. The cultural dimension of the project aims at overcoming stereotypes and embracing intercultural differences. Another purpose of the project was language development. Nowadays, fluency in foreign languages is essential on the job market. The most effective way to learn a foreign language is the contact with native speakers. The participants were surrounded by German native speakers as well as local community which means that they had to communicate in German or English in order to survive. The project involved two mobilities: in the first half of 2015 and at the beginning of 2016. The participants were provided with coach transfer, accommodation, meals, pocket money, insurance, public transport, excursions, working clothes, dictionaries, phrasebooks as well as language and professional preparation. For the whole month, students were accompanied by teachers from ZSM no. 4 who were monitoring the course of traineeship as well as helping students with language, technical and personal problems. Results of the project are as follows: - gaining experience in the field of mechanics (certificates validated by German companies) - upgrading professional qualifications validated by Europass Mobility and ECVET documents - gaining fluency in vocational and everyday German language - cultural development (respect towards other cultures, knowledge about Germany) - personal development (self-confidence, self-esteem) - improvement of learning results in languages and vocational subjects - the long-term effect is participants' competitiveness on the job market which will consequently lead to getting a better job.
