EUROMENTOR – European Mentoring Network for Disadvantaged Groups

The EUROMENTOR project will train mentors to support disadvantaged and disengaged target groups in order to promote their social, educational and economic inclusion. It is based on a previous Leonardo da Vinci project “Peer Mentor Support Project” which promotes the social, economic and educational inclusion of young disadvantaged people throughout training for supports peer mentors and it aims at extending the current project to a wider audience, in new countries and to additional target groups. It will also pilot the training trainers course developed in this previous project. By this way the new proposal will add value to the Peer Mentor Support Project. The present project will also be complementary to another LdV project “Me, Myself, I” as it will train mentors who will support target groups of this project. Dissemination activities will be base on: “Peer Mentor Support Project” web site, including the e-network; printing and distribution to local, regional and national employers, organisations agencies, of leaflets; articles papers, conferences, workshops, seminars. The target groups are young people aged 16-19 years from the target groups of learning, physical and sensory disability, young offenders, disaffected and disadvantaged young people which need extra support to enter educational and economic life.
