Euro ValDeMarne 2016
Date du début: 1 févr. 2016, Date de fin: 31 juil. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The ValDeMarne Euro 2016 project is the result of the will of a group of key players of our department: DDCS, the Football District 94, DRJSCS and the Mission Locale des Bords de Marne. The main goal is to take advantage of a major international sport event EURO 2016 in France to encourage sports clubs to develop intercultural aspects in their projects. This awareness will be done thanks to the hosting of five young people in European Voluntary Service (6 months from February to July 2016) within various sports associations of the department. The hosting organizations were volunteers and have been trained to participate in the project: Vitry ASC, CA Vitry, USEP UFOLEP 94, AS Orly and ASPTT Villecresnes. The partnership with the Sending Associations has been established on the long term and the latter are Porta Nuova and Europe Direct Pisa in Italy, Asociacion Cultural Muxelka and Arrabal-AID in Spain and Jugendwerk der AWO Württemberg in Germany. All these associations are in the youth sector and use non-formal education methods.Multiple objectives=> Develop mobility and European Voluntary Service=> Internationalize youth and sport projects=> Strengthen the collaboration between the different youth sectorsVolunteers' missionsDuring these six months, the young volunteers will participate in the life of the association with varied missions. The main one will be the promotion of "access to sport for all" and in particular the feminization of Football. Most clubs are trying or have already set up women's Football or Futsal teams and the volunteers will be able to propose activities and events to promote it. They will also participate in activities organized for schools or with local partners. Some associations, in Vitry for example, also offer educational support or more cultural activities. The EVS may therefore take part to it and develop their own ideas based on their abilities and interests.Furthermore, the 5 young people will have a time dedicated to the creation of a common project. They will define and implement it over the duration of their mission. This will be the outcome of their work and will give them a regional visibility.Volunteers' profileThe hosting and selection will be done in the same conditions without specific age criteria (between 18 and 30 years). The balance between boys and girls will also be ensured. The selection will be done on the interest and motivation of the volunteers and on their project proposals if they have already expressed one. The requirements are for young people to be interested in sport in general and football in particular. They should also like animation with young children or youth as it is a main part in all missions. The 5 volunteers will be selected together by their sending and hosting organizations. The main selection criteria will be the link between the mission and the expectations and aspirations of the volunteer. Results and impact* The development of mobility projects in the region: the project starts a long-term dynamic. Its implementation has strengthened the collaboration between the different institutional stakeholders and allowed the local actors to define clearly their roles and contributions also for next projects. The dissemination of information before, during and after the project will improve the understanding of ErasmusPlus program for different organizations, encouraging them to host volunteers. The 5 volunteers through peer to peer information will also arise desire of departures for French youth. As sending organization, we will be able to respond thenks to the strengthening of our partnerships.* Internationalization of local projects: The Euro2016 gave impetus and encouraged the associations to engage in hosting projects. This will of hosting a European volunteer however is part of a long-term logic for our partners. Hostings will be developed in order to improve the international and intercultural aspects of the projects carried out.
