EURIALO LEarning and gUidance tools against discRIminAtion: respect for alL different sexual chOices and cultural identities

EURIALO starts from the GP produced by the project “TRIANGLE, transnational project which had the aim of exchanging information and good practice within the framework of the “Community Action Programme to Combat Discrimination” of the EU. Starting from GP Triangle, the EURIALO project propose the realization of an intervention aiming to the review, upgrading, adaptation (both technological as well as targeted oriented), translation, transfer and dissemination of the final outcome (handbook+tools) of the selected project GP of TRIANGLE. In particular we wish to adapt the content of the GP focusing the attention on teachers, trainers and counsellor working within the secondary education (with young people aged 14-20 years) and effectively transfer the final adapted product into a significative number of structures which may be interested in testing and experimenting “on the field” the GP. The partnership therefore aims to guarantee the adaptation and transfer of the TRIANGLE project outcomes into the VET system. In fact, EURIALO is structured in order to realize an intervention focused on different groups of beneficiaries:the project foresees the experimentation, testing and the validation with and for a group of intermediate beneficiaries, of methodologies and active tools for the raising awareness in the area of diversity and a concomitant action of dissemination of the outcomes within the referring systems that it will concur to catch up, in the medium/long term, a group of beneficiaries represented from the possible final beneficiaries and customers. The project is therefore characterized by a "direct" target: teachers, educators, social workers, counsellors and psycho-social counsellors, school counsellors or psychologists etc. The project aims to facilitate and to make it more functional the intervention of these operators, towards a target of "final beneficiaries" (students and “young adults”). The expected results of the project consist in the elaboration and realization of a revision of the handbook containing the methodological guidelines for the implementation of an active system for the professionalization of different kind of operators in the area of diversity awareness and to offer them methods for training session for the improvement/enhancement of diversity awareness in the group of youths and young adults (approx. 14-20). The adaptation we wish to realize is: upgrading of contents, in relation to new identified needs and requirements; upgrading and adaptation of methodologies and tools, in relation to the specific selected direct target group and final beneficiaries requirements and characteristics; language adaptation (translation of the prototype into new languages of the partners); technological adaptation (editing of the paper handbook into a CD-ROM and on the web as a multimedia kit).
