This project envisages a study to assess the opportunity and the usefulness of a cross-border Euroregion which, by cooperating in several sectors, can contribute to dismantling the remaining border barriers after Slovenia’s entry into the EU. This initiative also meets the requirement of resuming the content of the “Cross-border cooperation protocol” to adjust it to the new relationships between the two territories. The adoption of common methods, instruments and strategies, in order to submit the project proposals to be financed, aims at ensuring a new territorial dimension which can consolidate the two border areas’ cooperation initiatives in several sectors.
