Description (EN): This project aims at further connecting the cross-border logistical region and – considering the growing amount of freight and the region’s strategical positioning on both the north-south and the west-east-corridor – supporting the logistical sector. Within the structure of 5 work packages, the current and future freight transport flows will be analyzed, infrastructural bottlenecks and barriers to interoperability will be identified, opportunities for sustainable freight transport will be developed, and the region will be strengthened through a shared development strategy for the EUREGIO freight corridor. Het project heeft tot doel, de grensoverschrijdende logistieke regio sterker samen te laten groeien en aangezien de stijgende goederentransporten en de strategische ligging op de noord-zuid en de west-oost-corridors de logistieke sector te ondersteunen. Hiervoor zullen in het kader van 5 werkpakketten de actuele en de toekomstige situatie rond de goederenstromen worden onderzocht, de infrastructurele knelpunten en interoperabiliteitsbelemmeringen worden aangetoond, de kansen voor duurzame logistiek worden ontwikkeld en afsluitend de regio door een gezamenlijke ontwikkelingsstrategie voor de EUREGIO-goederencorridor worden versterkt.
