European Union projects are important for any organization as a tool for its development and improvement of its services. The project and the training course "EU project design and management" aims at teaching the participants to successfully design and manage European projects, from the analysis stage to the fial stage of evaluation.In this project, PAC Agenda (Latvia) will be represented by one participant responsible for the European projects` development and for coordinating activities within the organisation. The provider of the training is Italian adult education centre "A Rocca", who have already been dealing with EU projects elaboration and management for many years and have participated in the implementation of more than 50 EU projects.The training provides profound theoretical and practical knowledge with necessary information in order to improve management of the European projects and add quality to the projects. The major phases of a European project, project management software tools, tools for ensuring efficient communication with experienced partners and targeting new potential partners will be reviewed. Professional entrepreneurs and experienced developers of EU projects will be involved as trainers in order to get a chance to learn from the experience of different practical workers.An open active learning method will be applied to involve participants in the learning process and driving it closer to their needs. A workshop will be organized on the last day during which the participants will have to put into practice in a creative way what they will have learned by that time, which will allow to evaluate the results of the training.The training will improve the EU projects development and management skills of both - participants of the training and also of the representatives of other organisations, with whom the results of the training and the information gained will be shared. In the long term, through attracting European funding for their projects, the organisations involved will contribute to their upgrowth and help develop high quality European projects, which will give added value to the European Union development and help attain the objectives of the European Union.
