ETM - Expansion of the TM and Development of Work Placement Supervising

This project will facilitate the increasing mobility of nurses/care workers between health services in Europe. The work plan is based on feedback from two previous Leonardo da Vinci pilot projects in the social and health care education sector. The results showed that there were further needs for development in the areas of learning materials and the production of harmonised supervising procedures for use on a Europe-wide basis. The partners will produce learning materials which introduce the students to the type of care provision and different forms of care work in partner countries. These will initially be done in the national language and finally translated into easily understandable English language material. As each training module will include an on-the-job learning period abroad, the supervisors of these work placements will co-operate with trainers in the production of the guide. A 'Handbook for the Care of Children and the Elderly' and a 'Manual for Work Placement Supervisors' will be produced on paper and in CD-ROM format. The dissemination plan for the project includes three conferences with the full participation of the partnership.
