European Voluntary Service project called ´Estonia Involved in Macedonia´ was aimed at providing non-formal education and intercultural learning opportunities to young people from Kavadarci, Macedonia, but also for volunteer Marek Morel from Estonia. It was part of a current local project of the Receiving Organization Youth Associaiton creACTive that mainly works on promoting creativity and active citizenship of young people. Sending organization was Involved NGO from Estonia. This project included one EVS volunteer from Estonia who was hosted in the project in Macedonia. Overall project duration was 15 months, while individual Service lasted for 10 months. Service started from December 2014. EVS project was based in the local youth club of the organization in Kavadarci, while part of the activities were also developed in some villages near the town. Target group of this project were young people aged 13 to 25 from the town and the nearby villages, while the activities included various workshops in the fields of arts, culture, language courses, use of computers, sports, theatre, media, games and others. The club was also open for youngsters’ free time activities during the whole day. The club employs youth workers, and works with other local and international volunteers as well. Current project aimed at giving young people more skills, competences and knowledge for their future prospectives in order to be more competitive in the labor market and also fosters international learning and mutual understanding.
