Establishing A New Master Degree in Sustainable Crop Protection

The principal aim of the project is to establish a new joint master Degree in Sustainable Crop Protection (SCP) by collaborative efforts of universities from EU ( Italy, Greece and Spain) and different universities in Egypt in the agriculture field. The new MSc degree complies with the higher education objectives in partner countries in particular with the strategic priorities of the agricultural faculties and in terms of new postgraduate studies for professionals in the Crop Protection.Moreover, the new curricula will address the pressing need for professionals who can successfully make steps forward in the growing and changing Agriculture amd insustry sectors. It will contribute to agricultural higher education distinction in Plant Pathology, Biologcal Control, Entomology, CropProduction, Horticulture; Food Safety and many other agriculture sciences. In engagement, this MSc program introduces a e- learning program, and responds to the needs of agriculture and crop protection that consider very important to partner counteries and other neighbouring countries. In this regard, the project has the following specific objectives: 1) to introduce "a new joint master degree in Sustainable Crop Protection (SCP) recognized among EU and partner universities; 2) To creat and update curricula in the field of SCP sciences and to improve teaching methods, material, environment, laboratory and library facilities at partner universities. 3) To strength the links between the university and labour market and to sustain graduate employability.The project will establish a fully-equipped Pedagogical and Sustainable Crop Protection Centers at partner countries. Teachers and technicians from each partner will be trained in the new technologies, in pedagogical techniques for recent work with computers, and in e-learning techniques. The project takes advantage of various expertise available in consortium EU and EG universities to retrain academic and administrative staff, as well as student mobility.
