Esedu Mobility 2
Date du début: 1 juin 2015,
Date de fin: 31 mai 2017
PROJET
TERMINÉ
In South Savo Vocational college international skills are seen important in 2010's working life and students must be able to gain those skills for operating in international and multicultural working places both in Finland and abroad. Teachers and other staff members working closely with students are key figures in making this aim to come true in vocational colleges. This project will support internationalisation of all Esedu students and also teachers and study counsellors by international mobility. The grants are meant for all the students, for staff members the grants will be used by a plan made in advance.
In this project we will carry out student mobilities from four to eight weeks. Our mutual international partners assist us in implementing these on-job-learning periods abroad with good quality. ECVET principles will be followed in student mobility: MoU-agreements are made with partners, Learning Agreement is used in documentation and learner's credit is verified and recognised as a part of his/her studies.
For staff members the objectives of the project are developing study guidance according to the new learning outcomes based vocational curricula and international mentoring model, which helps transfering knowledge, contacts and experience of the mentors to those, who are interested in developing internationalisation in the organisation. Staff mobilities will be carried out by organising team excursions to their partner colleges for workshops in study guidance and job shadowing. Small part of the staff mobilities are meant for teachers' work practice program. We will also apply grants for accompanying persons, since a great part of our students going abroad are under 18 years of age and those who are already of legal age, are usually travelling abroad without their guardians for the first time. Many students have courage to apply for a grant for mobility abroad because they know that there will be someone accompanying them for the first days, and for teachers travelling as an accompanying person is a good way to incerase their motivation towards international activities.
Students gain both professional skills and lifelong learning skills, which are important in working life, during their mobility period. Improving international skills of teachers and other staff members working closely with students is also supporting the strategic goals in Esedu: learning outcome based curricula, modern ways of seeing teachers' work and diverse ways of learning.
