Women's and men's mutual relations, gender roles and stereotypes based on them are relevant and much debated topic for centuries.. We believe we all are responsible for values what we give the next generations. Firstly it means to reflect on our own value and believe systems and critically analyse what we want to invest in future generations in Europe. Idea of this project is based on three years long working experience with “Girl and boy group method” used in non-formal education. Method is based on raising youth awareness about gender equality, gender roles and social inclusion. Objectives of the project:1) Take active part in Europe 2020 strategy by promoting social inclusion based on gender equality;2) Identify and compare gender-related issues and current problems of Europe and its neighboring countries, understanding the causes and consequences.;3) Increase capacity of youth workers and educators by providing methods for working with teenagers in relation to gender equality issues;4) Encouraging international cooperation between organizations specializing in gender issues and gender roles.Countries involved: Latvia, Georgia, Hungary, Finland (Aland Islands), Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Turkey, Romania.Participants: 24 youth educators, youth workers, leaders, teachers, social workers, psychologists, volunteers and other members (more than 18 years old) representing non- formal and formal education fields.Activities:1) The 10-day training course in Georgia, Kobuleti, September 22th - October 1st, 2014 during which the participants:- Experienced and learned methodology from 'Girls' and boys 'groups' method. Principles and a variety of non-formal education methods and coaching techniques for working with teenagers and young people.- Created One-day-workshop training and tested it in Local Municipality, NGO and University of Batumi, Georgia /29.09.2014./2) One-day training programs implementation in local communities of partner organizations.3) Three day experience sharing workshop in Hungary, Budapest 12-15 December 2014.Methods used: "Girls and boys group method", non- formal education methods, coaching techniques.A brief description of the results and impact:By implementing this project and the dissemination of "Girls' and boys' method 'in the long run social inclusion processes are strengthened and improved. Awareness of gender roles and gender issues in both actual and potential EU member states has happened through raising personal and professional capacity of youth workers and educators.
