A1: The completion of internships is becoming increasingly important for trainees in initial vocational training. The gain in competence creates a greater international action. Key skills such as self-confidence, organizational skills, initiative and language skills play an important role in a professional employment in the European Union. At the same time the trainees are taught other forms of human interaction with this project. The aim of this project is the introduction to the acquisition of international mobility through foreign languages​​, vocational technical, personal and intercultural competence extension. There are 5 participants of the dual vocational education system in the metal sector (preferably from 3rd or 4th year of training) addressed, which have acquired good basic expertise in their field of study. These trainees mainly come from small to medium-sized businesses. Before the start of the internship our students attend a two-week intensive course in the local language and complete the necessary technical vocabulary of occupation-specific terms. The trainees receive a certificate by the school in which the level of their language skills will be certified after two weeks. After completion of the course, the three-week internship starts. The content is specifically tailored to the professional training level of the particular student. They have the option to learn additional / special skills in our Spanish partner institutions. At our two partner schools this is done by the preparation of specific work-pieces. In our partner companies, the trainees work on order-related components in order to achieve the intended learning objectives. The project implementation is divided into four phases: preparation, implementation, supervision of trainees during the stay abroad and follow-up. The trainees attend language courses. Depending on the availability of our language teachers they get an additional course in the premises of the BBS Technik. Meanwhile, scheduling in regional studies and intercultural preparation takes place. In addition to that the learning objectives for the internship are reconciled; trainees, training establishments, the partner institutions in Spain and the project managers being involved. The trainees will receive a binder with contact details, directions etc. of the contact persons of the landlord and the school. Likewise, such as travel information, maps, learning agreements, patterns of participants reports and a cover letter for the company are retained. As an aid, travel opportunities for the participants are sought by the lead partner. The accommodation of trainees will be organized in consultation with the language school in Seville. The lead partner organises the general liability insurance as well as accident and health insurance for the trainees. After arriving in Seville an intensive Spanish language course begins for the trainees. After its completion, the project manager will travel to Seville, shows participants the transport links to the partner institutions and leads the trainees to the factories. Learning agreements and measures to prevent accidents will be discussed. Tickets for public transport will also be organised. After returning, the project manager will keep contact with the trainees in their Spanish partner institutions. In the follow-up, trainees write official reports and also individual reports. In addition, information on the homepage of the BBS Technik are provided. A final interview with the participants takes place and feedback to the training companies will be provided. At the General Conference of the BBS Technik, the participants report on the internship and then get the europasses. The final report will be made after having audited the final account having informed the class teacher to include a positive note in the final certificate. The completion of internships for trainees of the vocational training is of long-term benefit. The gain in competence creates a greater international action. Key skills such as self-confidence, organizational skills, initiative and language skills play an important role in a professional employment in the European Union. In addition to these key skills the trainees will also gain professional and linguistic additional skills during the internship abroad which will enable the trainees to gain better placement opportunities on the labor market in the European Union, as they have learned to work abroad. A2: Aims of the attendance and expected outcomes from the staff participation on courses: − To support the professional development of teachers with a view to innovating and improving the quality of teaching, training and youth work across Europe − To increase the capacity to make changes in terms of modernisation and international openings within our educational organisation − Improve the teaching and learning of languages and to promote the EU's broad linguistic diversity and intercultural awareness
