For two years, the HKS and the SZB have been reviving an old school partnership. Having similar structures, both schools can learn from each other and can contribute to realizing goals from the European Development Plan. Therefore, the goals of EiisKoN are:1. an increase in using digital media in class,2. an increased focus on intercultural orientation of students, teachers and school administration, 3. class - and quality management and - development.Besides the learning opportunities regarding intercultural and language competences for every single participant of each school, the advanced expertise in using a certain web based learning platform is a key element in EiisKoN’s conception. In the framework of the project, five teachers from the “Task Force New Media”, three additional teachers, two members of the school administration and 30 students from the SZB together with four accompanying teachers will be mobilized. By performing job shadowing, the HKS’s educational personnel will fulfil the project’s objectives. The students shall collect class experiences while being abroad and gain impressions of learning in a culturally, lingually and digitally foreign environment. However, obtaining additional knowledge must not be seen as an end in itself. The students provide important impulse to the developing process in classes, schools and student peer groups. These developments are supposed to contribute to the students, who are the main participants in the process of learning. Nevertheless, participating in the exchanges (mobility) shall not only contribute to class- and school developments but also increase a European Awareness.The exchange trips will be prepared, accompanied and evaluated. Evaluation will be guided by the quality management group and will be systematically used as additional contribution to school- and quality development.EiisKoN will enhance the media- intercultural and social competence of every participant. Furthermore, the educational personnel will be able to include their higher level of competences in the school- and class development by using new media more extensively. Including members of the school administration assures the realization of results and competences: EiisKoN transforms Deciders into Participants. Considering students the main target group of school- and class development, but also including teachers of various subjects, the school administration and quality management with its evaluating instruments, EiisKoN secures long-term benefits of the project.
