Erasmus Voting Assesment
Date du début: 1 oct. 2013,

25 years after the establishment of the ERASMUS programme, 3 million students have had the opportunity to study abroad in a foreign University, gaining a truly European experience and developing language skills and social competences.AEGEE-Europe/European Students’ Forum, the Erasmus Student Network and the Generation Europe Foundation have joined their forces to investigate the influence of the ERASMUS programme on European citizenship. With the upcoming European Parliament Elections 2014, AEGEE, ESN and GEF plan to carry out an international research to study the influence of the ERASMUS programme on its participants, including especially the correlation between participating in the ERASMUS programme and participating in European society by voting in the European Parliament ElectionsThe aim of the project is to prove the ERASMUS programme has a direct positive impact on the identification of the European citizens and especially the young generation with the European Union and its Institutions and will encouarge more young people to participate actively in society by participating in European elections. Identifying the biggest European Educational programme as a success story by proving the effect it has on its beneficiarys will deliver a valuable argument to its investors to sustain and expand the programmes. Closely following the EU 2020 strategy, this will also contribute to reaching the goals of its Flagship Initiative, “Youth on the Move”, aiming at fostering work and educational mobility in Europe. ERASMUS Voting Assesment will examine whether the percentage of ERASMUS students participating in the European Parliamentary elections exceeds the average percentage of students participating in European elections, proving that there is a positive correlation. Comparing beneficiaries of the ERASMUS programme and students that didn’t participate in it, the project will also map the effects the project has on the European identity.
