The context of our project is our will and responsibility as a cultural operator to create a vivid cultural nest for our region. The project will help Kattilakoski culture cooperative to raise cooperative´s international competence and cooperative will give a possibility for Erasmus+ volunteer to improve her creative, social and other skills. Erasmus+ project is also continuing the good results of our EVS-project “EVS experience in Kärsämäki”. One important objective of our project is to improve international cultural ground in our village and create a stable platform for the international cultural ground. One of our goals is that volunteer would become an important part of our community and cooperative and she would help us to develop our cooperation. Volunteer´s task is also to give cooperation some ideas for its visual look and logo. We are going to base our visual look on the cultural heritage of the region and we´ll make sure that the volunteer will get to know the local history. It will help her to deepen her experience of the region and she´ll be able to give us some new point of view about the special features of our cultural heritage. This sort of a working method gives an opportunity for dialogue between volunteer with her personal background and local community with it´s cultural identity. Dialogue strengthens and supports both of the sides and in this cultural exchange they will learn to respect their own and other cultures. Volunteer will face different groups with different backgrounds from children to old ones. Volunteer will co-operate with these different groups trying to find a common way to communicate with them, when the groups won´t speak english. The medium of communication will be in these cases art and creativity in different forms, for example in the form of workshops. Dialogue will also happen between volunteer and the host organization, Kattilakoski culture cooperative. We will give the volunteer feedback and she will give us some feedback in return. Volunteer can affect to her own work and activities by designing workshops and other happenings according to her own skills. The activities and tasks of the volunteer will be in the field of culture (and education). She will help cooperation and associations to arrange different events – especially during the summer. She will design and execute posters for the events and she will organize workshops and other activities on her own. The volunteer will also help to keep the Vicarage, where she´s staying, clean. During the summer she will help with the duties in Suomela Camping. Erasmus+ volunteer chosen for the project is polish Marta Malgorzata Borowiec. She is an interior designer and she manages most of the design programs like Photoshop and InDesign. She has a great competence in the fields of art and she is also used to work with children and young people. Working in our project will improve the volunteer´s and the community´s cultural, social and language skills. International project will bring a feeling of a whole and coherent Europe in our distant community. Hopefully the project will also create life lasting bonds and friendships between the members of our community and the volunteer. Our objective is also to encourage the young of our village to become a part of international exchange programs.
