Context : Changes in school life and future society calls for changes in education and teaching. We as a school want to innovate our practices, and the international dimension is an important part of our development plan. The effects of econommical crisis affected so much to weakest families and the results of their children, leading them to dropout.Background: The school Joan XXIII is in Bellvitge, an area of L'Hospitalet municipality, built in the sixties, to host national immigrants mainly from south of Spain. Nowadays hosts families come from another continents.The district is just on the outskirts of Barcelona. It is a so called "dormitory town", a place full of high blocks of apartments, inhabited mainly by working class people.The school has got some 1500 students and 150 teachers and has got from kindergarten and Primary studies until Secondary, Gymnasium, Vocational and Technical studies.The school mission is to promote an innovative, committed and personalized educational training based upon social promotion and quality criteria. Thus promoting: nets of cooperation and learning; capacity for innovation against new challenges; team building with the criteria of respect and solidarity; and commitment to sustainability and environment. We see that as an asset, and our goal is to prepare our pupils, and develop their intercultural understanding and sensitivity. Objectives: Developing and innovating new cross-borders networks for educational areas as: Sustainability, International dimension, Entrepreneurship, Team-building and CreativityDeveloping teaching practices in order to improve the skills of our students, also the special needs (USEE) to achieve a better inclusion.Favouring the improvement of skills in the staff, teachers and direction, changing Best Practise into Next Practise, forseeing future conditions. Number, profiles of participants :We plan on 7 mobilities in 2 years period: 7 teachers to Job-shadow in partner schools Description of activities: Teachers will participate in a course concerning their formation to improve better performances iin an innovative way in their daily work. This which will be passed later to the restt of teachers.Job-shadowing in partner schools: Goal for job-shadowing: tightening the bonds in our network, getting more teachers from both partners to network cross-borders in the future, and more teachers to benefit from the results obtained through our European partnerships. The topics: communication skills; education systems and management of teams, management of inclusion; solving problems, entreneurship, creativity and sustainability.Methodology to be used in carrying out the project: study, experiments, correlational research cross-borders, network- and teambuilding, field- and observational study through job-shadowing surveys. Previously, tasks to prepare the experience, virtual meetings with the school partner and evaluation of results.Short description of the results and impact envisaged: Teachers will be better equipped to face the challenges of improving the pupils learning and understanding of their future role as global citizens, through close cooperation with European partners, both on teacher and headteacher level.Pupils will develop positive intercultural sensitivity and skills as language, communication, ITC and knowledge about other cultures.Sustainability, mentally and physically will be an everyday element for all students and staff.Implementation of the new ideas in subjects' programs, in new interdisciplinary projects. Potential longer term benefits: A visible impact on our teaching practices in everyday school-life, for the benefit of the outcome of our pupils studies. Learning from practitioners and specialists and developing new cross-borders networks will improve our work in educational areas as: Sustainability, International dimension, Entrepreneurship, Team-building, Innovation and Creativity.Developing the cultural sensitivity and technological and language skills of our students.
