"Equal Chances for a Decent Future, Rehabilitation Centre Fidanjik"

“Equal chances for a decent future” is a project intended to promote education, social protection of disabled children and socially vulnerable families of Gagauzian region of Moldova, re-socialization and reintegration into their family and society. The volunteer will work mainly in the Rehabilitation Centre for disable children "Fidanjik" which was founded in September 2001. She will also work in Fidanjik branch in “Congas” village and Youth Center. Miras Moldova is the "contact point" in Moldavia for the volunteer. The volunteer will work with the children of the centers with the objectiv to prepare them to a future independant life in the society and to develop their self-confidence. She will participate with the professionnals of the centers and the local volunteers, to daily care, health care, the collective life of the centers, the classes and also cultural and sportive activities (music class, manual activities, sport, music festivals). The volunteer will also contribute to the creation of media documents (audio and video), and paper information (newsletter, flyers, brochure) in order to promote EVS and the Erasmus + programm. She will participate to the implementation of the web site of the organisation and also to implement the "page of the volunteers". She will work independently but also in team. She will participate to the team meetings and she will know the daily life and daily routine of the center. She will be encourage to take initiatives and express her creativity in the proposition and implementation of activities and projects for the children. Mathilde is 20 years old. She actuelly follows pharmaceutical studies. This year, she has to validate few exams that she couldn't get last year. This leaves her freetime for the second and third trimestry of the school year 2015. Mathilde decided to make this time profitable and enriching by being activ in an association. She wishes to be involve in a collective action for children. She already worked with persons facing a situation of handicap and she already has ideas of activities to implement if the conditions there allows them. She knows that she will have to adapt her activities and project to the local context and local needs. There Mathilde will be with other international volunteers and she will be in contact with the professionnals of the structures and also local volunteers. Miras Moldova would like to show to all the local community but also to all Moldavia that volunteer activities help to reinforce the community and help the develloppement of the whole country. An other important aspect is to propose to volunteers a unique experience which will help them in their future activities and can give an impulsion to encourage them to be active in the society and to promote tolerence. Also, as much as possible, volunteers and the persons of the organisation will help to give the information or support other organisation (youth associations, and local young people) to participate or contribute to EVS projects.
