Environmental monitoring for cross-border territorial management

This training course is aimed at Italian and Slovenian public operators who wish to become more familiar with environmental and territorial management in a cross-border context. It is structured into classroom activities and external seminars. The project is structured in five phases: organisation and preparation of activities; classroom activities and seminars; on-line training in the case of project-work and final examination to evaluate the subjects presented; lastly, at the conclusion of the project, an analysis of the operational impacts and external effectiveness of training (carried out by each public institution participating in the project). Specifically, the themed seminar in the framework of the training course will focus on “Environmental monitoring in the cross-border area: collaboration issues and prospects.” This course intends to provide new instruments to public officials who deal with territorial management, familiarity with the methods, limitations and instruments of environmental monitoring, familiarity and indepth knowledge of EU and local regulations in terms of environmental management, the ability to interact with the bodies charged with the management of environmental services and the users (citizens), in view of future project-making, management and promotion of the territory in an integrated and associated manner.
