The project “ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGE ACCEPTED” will take place in 5 countries (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Czech republic and Portugal) from June 1, 2016 to October 31, 2017. The aim of the project is to explore innovative approaches for development of youth active citizenship by fostering youth ability to convince stakeholders of the need to implement their proposed solutions for environmental protection. During the project, several groups of young people (at least 24 young people in total) will solve local environmental problems cooperating with local stakeholders. The problem based learning approach will be applied during the project. At the same time, the international youth contest will be organized which will gather the best practices and examples of European youth achievements in protection of local environment. There will be 3 transnational meetings organized in order to discuss a progress of the project and to exchange good practices between partners. As a result of the project a video guide will be developed by team consisting of 5 experts. The video guide will provide assistance for European youth environmental organizations in order to develop their skills communicate their achievements in environmental field to local stakeholders in attractive and innovative way.
