ENTReVET - Developing an Entrepreneurial Climate in VET Sector

The innovative approach of the project ENTReVET consisted of the enhancement of the entrepreneurial skills of teachers with the aim to organize of "entrepreneurial learning" in a "entrepreneurial climate" In several discussions with the teachers and economy representatives, a consensus was reached what "entrepreneurial climate" means at a vocational institution and how it can be measured. Here the teachers have focused on their "entrepreneurial style of teaching" thinking.A new (first) project internal label was developed. The certificate “VET School department with strong entrepreneurial climate" was the first time awarded publicly. This approach was adapted to Turkish conditions and has experienced its highest point in the presentation of the first award for "Best entrepreneurial VET school" by the Turkish Ministry of National Education at the closing conference of the project ENTReVET in Ankara.Specifically, the goal of "entrepreneurial learning" in VET school has been reached by the transfer, discussion and development of appropriate teaching and learning methods with emphasis on "mini companies" (transfer product from a previous LdV project EdYcate). Thus, in particular in Turkey, the entrepreneurial skills of teachers through workshops, involvement in the business environment (new partnerships school / business) have been strengthened and in a pilot phase, a novel for Turkey concept through the development and establishment of mini-companies at the 5 pilot schools has been implemented. The sustainability of project results ENTReVET is ensured by the fact that the certification process started will be continued after the end of the project, in southern Saxony-Anhalt by the Association for the promotion of vocational education for young people. In Turkey, the Ministry of National Education, Department for vocational education of girls will extend this competition to other VET schools.
