The project "ENTER to ICT" - recognizes that the ever increasing role of Information and Communication Technologies in Education is making a significant change in the role of the teacher. We need to embrace technology, realise the potential it holds for education and prepare ourselves to make an ally out of it. This project outlines these issues and helps teachers prepare to adapt to the new role as experts in the design of learning experiences. One of the main points of the project is the participation of te teachers, working in ZSP in Studzienice, in a course: "ICT for Collaborative Project Based Teaching and Learning". The course includes theory about new methods and didactic, project-based teaching and learning, ICT in education. The course presents a new role for the teacher in ICT based teaching and learning. It also shows how to create European collaborative projects - eTwinning and interactive presentations (quizzes - PowerPoint & Prezi). The participants practise using Web 2.0 Technologies in the classroom and beyond (Blogs, Wikis, Social Networking), digital audio and video in education (Podcasting, Digital Video Editing), digital story-telling (Photostory and Digital Comics). The course offers also the possiblity of practising specialist terminology in English and developing foreign language skills through the project work in international groups. After the course the teachers will apply the newly aquired skills to create some innovative programs of teaching different subjects with the use of ICT, organise special-interest groups and film/computer clubs for the pupils in order to assure the same access to education and possibilities which offers technology.
