The eNSTRUCT project addresses the need of the training sector for new and improved training tools/methodologies responding to the training needs of new job profiles associated with new and modern technologies (i.e. such as e-instructor).In this context, the job profile of individual trainers is evolving from 'knowledge agent' to 'manager of resources, technologies and people'. E-learning is complementing traditional training processes, thus making learning more flexible and e-learning technologies more widely used by trainers.The project aims to develop a series of methodologies and tools addressed at trainers and teachers wishing to build upon their existing qualifications to become certified e-instructors. A modular training package will be created to enable trainers to acquire new training techniques and skills through e-learning. In addition, an on-line assessment tool will be made available to facilitate trainers in obtaining a European eNSTRUCT Certification. The project will further create a portal for the collection and dissemination of training materials between certified eNSTRUCT trainers. Dissemination of project results will be effected via a dedicated website and through mailing lists, databases, multi-lingual leaflets and a multimedia trailer presenting the end products.
