The trend in special education is the integration and inclusion of children with special needs in mainstream schools.In this context the need for teacher professional development is imperative. This plan envisioned to implement the 2nd Elementary School Eleonon Pilea Thessaloniki aims to strengthen the European dimension of school (development of networks and interaction with other European educational systems) and the development, improvement / updating of knowledge and skills of teachers in order improving the quality of education provided to children with disabilities.European mobility activities plan are: Three job shadowing one spot in Finland for monitoring a manager and one in a class at a Turkish school and one in a special class in Croatia and the following mobilities :a)Dyslexia in the teaching environmentb)Future learning with i pads and tabletsc)Special needs the challenge of inclusiond)Every pupil is important - Special Education in Finlande)Stryuctured Study visit to schools - Training seminar in Spain.f)Healthy teachers healthy schoolsCandidates participants are certified ICT users know English (B2 - C2) and Turkish C2. They hold postgraduate and doctorate . Participants except from one never took part in training activities funded by the EU.The methodology of the project includes needs asseccesment , actions planning , preparation and organization , quality assurance procedures for quality , administrative management , monitoring, evaluation over the medium and long term and dissemination of results.Expected results of the training activities of the project is professional development of teachers, strengthening European citizenship (citizenship) and cultivating a positive attitude to continuing vocational training. Participants will develop and improve their language, intercultural and vocational skills, will incorporate "good practices" to promote cooperation and networking with European schools and thus contribute to improving the quality of education, modernization of teaching methods and the internationalization of school .The project is expected to have very positive impact on all target groups: a) teachers will develop / improve direct and indirect professional skills , b) school unit will be modernized both in organization / administration, and at the level of everyday teaching practice and reinforce the European dimension c ) students / mation will benefit from the use of new technologies and practices , d) parents ,the local community and the institution of ELEPAP who housed with the school will increase the incentives for further training , following the example of school , e) the schools of our educational district will benefit from the dissemination of results and should be mobilized accordingly.
