La Maison de l'Europe de Lot-et-Garonne exists since 1966. It has for objective first to inform the citizens about the European Union and to bring them to an European awareness. The dynamic development of the exchanges between the young people are our priority axes. We wished to give more vitality to these exchanges since 2009 by welcoming EVS in our structure. This EVS goes to meet young people of the department of Lot-et-Garonne to inform them about programs of existing mobility, in particular about the EVS, they testify of their experience, underline the cultural differences (this can sometimes be the object of a particular animation on stereotypes). La Maison de l'Europe de Lot-et-Garonne informs the population about the priority axes carried by the European Union, so, it developed actions in the field of the fight against discrimination aimed at every public. In this context, are organized awareness-raising activities with children, conferences or movies - debates for every public. By these actions, we work in fields of the struggle against poverty and the exclusion. Besides, since 2011, and always within the framework of the European priorities, we lead actions of information and / or raising awareness about the theme of the ""sustainable development"", in 2012, on the active ageing, in 2013, on the citizenship, and in 2014, we realize some actions on the fight against the wasting, and specially work on the European elections, in 2015, We work on 2015:European Year for Development. Every year, we organize, in the municipality of Marmande, the ""week for disable people and citizenship"", the festival of the movie "" Europe in the cinema "" in all the department of Lot-et-Garonne, we receive ambassadors of various countries of the European Union. The EVS that we welcome participate to all these animations, and also hasin charge to promote the European mobility, by explaining its experience to the young people of our region, and to promote its country by realizing playful and cultural workshops, according to the targeted public, and to his proposals.
