In the course of time people and theircultures converge, small populationsfrequently lose their identity or disappear.Baltic culture is a basis to maintain Latvianand Lithuanian identities and developmentpotential of border regions. The project objective is to promotedevelopment of the bordering Latgale (LV)and Aukštaitija (LT) regions based on theunique nature of regional traditional culturevalues, historically rooted in the Balts culture.The main project activities are trainingseminars for culture managers and specialiststo improve their skills in culture management,organization of cross-border culture festivalsand events, creation of the joint onlinedatabase of culture collectives that result inincreased human capacity, transfer of bestpractices and closer links between cultureorganizations across the border that in theirturn contribute to the attraction of morevisitors to the region and preservation ofBaltic cultural identity and culture values.
