Our unit (4th Laboratorial Centre of Pireaus) is in a process of total quality management of its educational services. We aim at the verification and accreditation of our labs, processes and services. We also aim at transferring know how between us and other european entities and developing knew knowledge with them while at the same time developing our european profile. This here plan is a preparatory step within our general plan. It has the following objectives: 1. the preparation of our personnel for further submissions of proposals that promote our aims (corresponding activity A1) 2. the attraction of appropriate student population in our own school and the schools that supports (Vocational Lyceums, Vocational Training Institutes) via the provision of upgraded career counselling services (corresponding activities A2 and A3) to our prospective students and their parents and also supporting similar services offered by the cooperating schools 3. the facilitation of utilization of personnel through better recording of qualifications, abilities, skills and interests (corresponding activity A3). 4. the enhancement of quality management procedures of our centre through ability building in the fields of group building, group working and crisis and change management (corresponding activity A4). The plan is comprised of mobility of staff activities that will be supplemented with our own local activities of dissemination both inside our organization and within the local community. The 4th EK is expected to increase its overall ability to submit proposals of european projects, the quality of both Educational and Career Counselling services that we offer, the use of supplemental to CV methods of qualifications, abilities, skills and interests recording and also student progress evaluation (european digital portfolio). Finally, we expect an enhancement or our group work culture inside and out of classroom. The experience from the operations of european scope organizations and the services they offer on one hand and becoming accustomed with the idea of trans-national activities and projects and the european strategy for education and training will assist in fine-tuning and better alignment in the european domain of the future planning of the 4th EK. In the long run results from this here plan are expected to assist to the improvement of total quality management procedures, the development of a european mark for the school, the renewal of our know how and the development of new knowledge in both our specialities and our didactics -via future projects and their submission - and our involvement in the life of the european working space of vocational education and training.
