ENIC Capacity Building Caucasus
Date du début: 1 févr. 2012,

Project title: ENIC Capacity Building Caucasusβ Project description (including a short summary of project activities): Building on the success of the previous Capacity Building project with Georgia and Azerbaijan in 2010, we wish to build on the positive outcomes and the established relationships with the participating ENICs. In addition, it is felt that expanding the project to include Armenia and taking a more regional approach to the project activities and debates about recognition issues will enhance communication, and collaborative working within the region. The key aims are to increase transparency and consistency in recognition practices across the ENIC/NARIC network by engaging closely with these three emerging ENICs, examining existing recognition practices and surrounding issues as well as identifying areas for discussion to assist a more coherent approach to recognition general. More specifically, building on the work conducted with Georgia and Azerbaijan last year, the following key areas have been identified for this project:1. A greater need for the understanding of third country qualifications2. A desire to develop an online data handling and storage system3. A greater focus on learning outcomes, instead of nostrification and duration• In view of the above, the project will start with a kick-off meeting and study visit to the UK, followed by local workshops held in each of theparticipating countries to discuss recognition procedures and, specifically the development of a bespoke information database for each centre.« The beneficiaries of this project are the participating ENICs in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Armenia with a view to encompassing, where appropriate, HEIs and stakeholders within the participating countries and other neighbouring states, or further afield as required. The ENIC-NARIC network will also benefit from increased transparency, sharing of information and good practice in recognition with the emerging ENICs.
