Enhancing Negotiation skills through on-line Assessment of Competencies and interactive mobile Training
Date du début: 1 janv. 2014,

ENACT has the ambition to achieve a new milestone towards the provision of innovative pedagogy and assessment methods for helping people to enhance and (self-)assess their negotiation competences based on recent psychological modelling and the application of current ICT research (e-learning, mobility, internet, artificial intelligence). Negotiation has been prioritised among other social competences as it is widely recognised to be a fundamental key element in entrepreneurship skills education. It is also recognised to help people to better communicate and improve their social skills by flexibly adapting to changing situations and environments. ENACT will implement a training methodology, in the form of an online “game”, which emphasizes practical skills by exploiting an innovative technology that uses autonomous intelligent agents as virtual interlocutors for the user. Together with the training methodology, ENACT will also offer an innovative and scientifically sound assessment methodology, in the form of an intelligent tutor, capable of providing reliable analysis of the user’s negotiation skills and communication style. The technology developed by ENACT will be freely accessible online and will exploit modern mobile devices, such as tablets and smartphones. The main drive for ENACT comes from the observation of a need, at European level, for flexible, accessible, and affordable learning tools, which are capable of helping large and heterogeneous groups of people to access informal learning pathways for the autonomous improvement and assessment of their social competences. The rationale for ENACT is that of addressing this need by bridging social skills enhancement and assessment with modern technology. The project partners are from the UK, Italy, Turkey, and Spain. This assures that the new technology will be tested across different cultures and target groups, ranging from school children and teachers in school and higher education, to SME managers and employees.
