The urgent problem of joint cross-border region of Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus is unhealthy lifestyle of the inhabitants. The common problems of Latgale region (Latvia), Utena County (Lithuania) and Vitebsk oblast (Belarus) are also lack of public infrastructure and services, low involvement and integration of community and social risk groups, lack of awareness raising actions.OBJECTIVE: To increase population involvement in healthy lifestyle activities leading to more integrated and healthy society and improve diversity and accessibility of public sports infrastructure in cross-border regions of Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus. Achievements: The project invited sportsmen and sports lovers of Latvia, Lithuania and Belarus for joint sports activities. International basketball, volleyball, football and judo tournaments were organised involving over 1000 participants.The sports field “Krauja”, situated near Daugavpils was renovated. 5 outdoor sport grounds opened in Lithuania and Belarus: a complex of outdoor body-builders (training machines) in Anyksciai (Lithuania) and multifunctional outdoor sport grounds in Verkhnedvinsk, Braslav, Postavy and Miory towns of Belarus.Sports equipment for various kinds of sports was purchased.
