Regardless of the circumstances, all individuals are entitled to same rights. Those who are in need of special education are too. Ultimate goal to educate mentally challenged children is to bestow them with the skills that will keep them alive independently. Therefore it is imperative to establish educational regulations to provide mentally challenged kids with survival skills both safe and independent, starting even from pre-school period. Our school holds 2 classes for moderately challenged children and 1 for OCEM (Center for Children with Autism). Additionally, we have students for coalescence. Taking all these into consideration together with our special needs teachers, we believe improvements ought to be made for educations of all regarding parties. Thus, we have tasked ourselves with the mission of upbringing our challenged kids as concording individuals with the society, poised, as well sensitive against surroundings. In the light of this approach, we aim to raise the quality in our instituion by implementing the education and skills we claimed abroad and by getting to know the European special education policy. Special education classes have a tendency to be more difficult to manage and educate than the regular classes, so we wish to improve the skills and experience of those teachers tutoring special education classes, counsellors and teachers with coalescencing students. Attending personell will be among those. All of the attendees are currently working with children with special needs and are fully aware of the areas open to improvement and difficulties being faced. 24 attendees have been planned for training activities. The projects consists of 2 periods, first one, to be held in Spain being; Special Needs Children – how to address their needs? The second period will be held in Denmark and is called 'Count Me In'. With the proficency gained in those trainings and by implementation of new gained techincs and metods to support SEN students' development process, the education quality in our institution will be improved considerably.
