” Development of Disabled People's Repair Skills” is a project which consist of 24 disabled students.Students who have been identified from the project owner Samsun Special Education Vocational Training Centre and sending participant partners Rize Special Education Vocational School and Ordu-Altınordu Nuriye – Halit Çebi Special Education Vocational School.Our project was carried out by 24 disabled people students who was selected 8 by 8 from three different participant institutions. All of our students were in the 14-23 age range and hearing impaired with a loss of at least 40 percent of the workforce and a little mentally disabled students. These students were escorted to our total of 12 specialist teachers from all three schools.
At the end of the placement activities of our project participants with mentally disabled and hearing imparied ; our receiver partner in Berlin / Germany Stephanus-Werkstaetten gemeinnützige GmbH Institution’s disabled training workshops , using special teaching methods with 16 days period , have developed knowledge and skills in the field of furniture repair and simple Installation.At the end of this training , our participants as providing professional development in terms of quality and quantity, have been made to ensure effective participation in social life and can be employed in the labor market.
Our participants in the mobility process as well as gained Furniture Repair and simple installation skills , with professional, personal and social development are also involved in the lifelong learning process. On the other hand, thanks to these skills , disabled students took place in the labor market and gained economic independence.
As part of our project preparatory activities, our participants who attended the hearing impaired , learning sign language at the receiver country , developed their easy communication with people from different cultures and live together skills.All our participants who participated the placement activites , took a certificate which was showing the content of activities.These certificates will facilitate our participants to start career.
Our participants participated 16-days placement activities in Stephanus-Werkstaetten Institution which was located in Berlin, German between 18-03-2016 / 02-04-2016.This training has been completed towards the project plan.
As a result, all of the project goals and objectives of our text application, planned preparation, adhering to the placement and training plan has been reached.
