HAND IN HAND WITH EUROPE IN THE EDUCATION OF PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES The target group of our students as participants whom we would like to involve in the Project; Those related students who study in class 11 and 12 of the special education branch at Childhood Development and Education and we have set up a commission to select relevance students according to their status of success, discipline records, smoking and harmful habits, family approval , counseling service recommendations and proposal criteria of related teachers, and we aim at involving 30 students as participants in this project. This Project has planned between the dates of 01-12-2014 and 01-12-2015 and this visit will occur in 3 different related institution between the dates of 09-05-2015 and 30-05-2015 in Sweden. This project aims at; Increasing the importance of education for children with special needs in our country and around the world. Helping the parents make use of the right to education rather than isolate or ignore their disabled children so that families of children with special needs can adapt to changing world and gain consciousness about training and education of their children. Removing lack of work and practical experience of our students. Having confidence in their job, removing the shortages of being motivated about their work. Having a proper job by encouraging them as women and necessity of active participation in working life. We have prepared this project by taking into consideration these issues. General Objectives of this project; To raise the level of professional and personal development of participants. To support them to have inter cultural dialogue skills and high level of awareness related to the EU values. To support their development of vision by meeting adolescents with different experiences and training opportunities whose personality and social developments are important. To accomplish their goals related to different approaches in education, innovative education and being open-minded to progress by understanding practice of techniques which is applied and used in the field of education for children in Europe who need special education and to be able to transfer new knowledge to participants. To contribute to expand participants as businesswomen who have professional self-esteem , are active, enterprising and ready to working life, self-sufficient and competitive in the job market. To transfer their experience and techniques which qualified participants will gain in education and development of our children who need special education and take an active role in the development of social consciousness and integration of individuals with disabilities into society. To disseminate cultural, experimental, and educational experience of those participants who are employed in special education or continue their education to private educational institutions in our country . To transfer their knowledge and applications of participants who will research vocational guidance, placement services and applications of monitoring post-placement in terms of sufficiency and ability of students with disabilities. At the end of this project; Participants will improve and raise their professional and pedagogical competence and have enough knowledge about methods and techniques of individual and group education related to special education which are implemented in EU countries, and education of children with disabilities, games, music, drama, etc. and activities to practice skills, communication with children with disabilities, and have the ability to intervene in situations of crisis and risks. They will realize the importance of awareness and have responsibilities in this direction by understanding why they have selected this profession more closely, and realize the importance of the concept related to lifelong learning teachers. Our participants will realize how to do useful work with mutual collaboration and that their different features from others will not prevent their purposes during their internship period and will not hinder collaboration with people who provide special education services. As participants increase their training qualifications, they will serve more effectively by taking advantage of the experience gained for every student with disabilities whom they will educate. Since they will play a direct role in the development of disabled children, well trained disabled students will be able to become happy, independent, and useful citizens to themselves and their society with vocational orientation in the long term.
