Engelli Bireylere Dönük İstihdam Edilebilir Mesleki Becerilerin Kazandırılması
Date du début: 1 août 2014, Date de fin: 1 août 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Our project is prepared in collaboration with three partners and presented to the National Agency as is. Yet, one of our partners requested to leave the consortium with their justifications. The case was reported to the National Agency and the involvement of another institution suitable for the project that we are in contact in substitution for the parted partner was requested. However, our demand was rejected by the National Agency and indicated that we could proceed as two partners. The flow between Gelibolu Anafartalar Private Vocational School and Centro de Educacion Secundaria San José in Spain, as planned and practiced started as of 05.04.2015 but left unfinished due to an unwanted and unplanned situation. Unfortunately two students and an instructor passed away in an incident by the sea where the group, after completing their daily schedule were for recreational purposes, despite the fact that the group was accompanied by two attendants upon our partners' and our agreement as hosts, although the requirements of the National Agency were indicated as one attendant for the flow. In this case, one of the planned flows was cancelled and another was aborted due to unwanted reasons. The only flow accomplished successfully is the one we executed to the Stephanus-Werkstaetten gemeinnützige GmbH institution in Germany as promoter with eight participants and again two attendants, one as extra. Although the students participating the flow were the disabled at an average age of sixteen, they were eligible for employability regarding their physical conditions as entreated in our project. The group gained detailed insight about varnishing and linseed oil application with the trainings they received and in situ observations they made in Germany, thus contributing crucially to the development of "Gaining Employment Oriented Vocational Skills to Individuals with Disabilities", constituting the title of our project. The participants did not only gain technical skills but also recognised the European life standards and experiencing their own situations closely, observed that persons with disabilities lived a life alike the others within the society and realised that the problems they face are related not to themselves but to the development level of the society they are part of. Thus, helped them building self-confidence as they deserve. As one critical outcome of the project, this not only affected positively the life of the participants with disabilities but also their surrounding society and the other students in our school whom they share many commonalities. Addressing the integration of the persons with disabilities to the society, beyond its physical aspects the project prioritised this integration to promote individuals actively participating to the labour force and totally free persons with their lives and related decisions. We consider this approach to have a key role in reaching a European life quality standard for our country and internationalisation of institutions, furthermore we believe that detailed information on the development level of such countries to be covered in similar projects would have significant returns in the long term.
