Croatian Academic and Research Network – CARNet is a government agency following a mission to develop advanced ICT infrastructure for the educational and scientific community including a fast and secure network infrastructure, diverse content and services. CARNet’s activities are divided into three primary areas: providing ICT infrastructure and connectivity to the Croatian academic, scientific and other educational institutions, fostering the development of information society and supporting the development of a modern education system. With this project, CARNet wants to further develop its staff, so it can advance in delivering even better services to its community. Representatives from the biggest two departments involved in the e-Schools project will be attending the trainings. e-Schools project is an EU-funded project that will greatly enhance and broaden educational landscape of Croatian school system. This project is in direct connection with CARNet's strategy document, which is to be approved by Croatian Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, where e-Schools project goals concerning ICT in school and education is set as one of the main goals. Trainings will, among other, include narrative and appreciative approaches to lead better, dialogue methods to address the power of social discourses and much, much more. As a result of this, the whole organisation will be led to improved educational services, where the starting point will be the learner (as the learner is the expert on its own life) and learning will be better contextualised (in the context of the learners' life). This form of learning is in three words more respectful, empowering and sustainable.
