EMINTE - Erasmus Mundus India To Europe
Date du début: 15 juil. 2013,

This project for mobility and collaboration within higher education and research builds on a well-balanced consortium with partners from India and Europe. We have included partners with no or little previous experience as well as with substantial experience from the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 (EMA2) programme. In this way, the project will increase the number of universities that will benefit from EMA2 with all its positive effects on internationalisation at the same time as the consortium will have sufficient experience to assure an efficient and successful implementation. The project has five main goals. The first is to implement the proposed mobility scheme with stipends to India students and staff for a period at a higher education institution in Europe. The second is to make special efforts to provide opportunities for women and for vulnerable groups. The definition of vulnerable groups will adhere to that used by Indian universities and include scheduled castes and tribes, other backward classes, and persons with disabilities. The third is to strengthen the collaboration between the EU and India through student and staff mobility. The fourth is to contribute to inclusive and sustainable growth by improving academic skills and competencies which will prepare students and staff to assume leadership roles. Fields of study with special importance for India will be prioritized. The fifth main goal is to promote the unique competencies of the stipendees through an alumni network and collaboration with Chambers of Commerce in India. The contacts and exchange of best practices created through mobility will guarantee an impact on individual and institutional level. To promote sustainability and future cooperation, the project will arrange a joint conference to explore alternative funding possibilities and tools for future collaboration in the new era of Erasmus for All, Horizon 2020 and the envisioned Indian higher education internationalisation strategy.
