Electronic challenge for modern education

The project aims at developing the skills of human capital, creation and introduction of new methods of vocational training that meet the needs of the labor market. Through development of an e-learning module and provision of free training the competitiveness of human resources in the region and the quality of services in tourism will be increased. The project will establish a network between business representatives, vocational training centers, employment agencies and will create opportunities for human capital in the region. Acquisition of equal knowledge by the two sides of the border can increase mobility and employability in the region. The project enables disabled people to enhance their qualifications. The choice of partners in the project is consistent with its specificity as the leading partner has experience in providing vocational training within tourism. The Macedonian partner works with disabled people. Both partners combine their strengths in the project implementation. Achievements: 1. Conducted study on the level of professional qualification of the human resources in the area of tourism – identifies the needs in the region and the necessary range of the e-learning module;2. Developed web – platform - www.trainyourself.org with an e-learning module, module for job vacancies and information about the project and the financing instrument;3. Developed e-learning module for vocational training – 1 developed e-learning module for vocational training in the sphere of Tourism, namely in two specialties „Hotel management“ and „Restaurant management“;4. Conducted 3 vocational training in the sphere of tourism and development of joint information module for job vacancies - training of examiners and 2 two-day seminars in Kyustendil and Kriva Palanka for improving participants' skills in working with the e-learning module and managing their specific profiles;5. Conducted 3-day Cross-border Forum - 23-25.06.2012 in Kyustendil, Bulgaria. 70 people (35 from FYROM, 30 from Bulgaria, 3 team members and 3 examiners) took part in it; 6. Improved professional qualification – 55 Bulgarian and Macedonian trainees have passed the whole training as well as the final exam. Thus they enhance their professional competence in the sphere of tourism, mainly in Hotel and Restaurant management;7. Created partner nets between the business, NGO sector, centres for vocational training and the employment agencies – prerequisite for setting up a future partnership between business, NGO and training institutions was created during the conducted 2-day seminar and 3-day Forum;8. Developed methodology for training based on the elaborated training materials and study of the cross border region;
