Elaborating a Slovakian-Hungarian action plan for underground water protection in order to establish sustainable rural development on the vulnerable alluvium of Hornád valley

The funding was mainly oriented at creating an integrated hydrogeological model,a database, a series of maps in order to increase effectiveness in local and regionaldecision-making and development activities. The project assists in the preparationof a hydrogeological characterisation of the region, in drawing a series of maps, indeveloping and constructing wells for underground water monitoring, in launchingthe monitoring activity, in carrying out geodesic measuring of driven wells beforeincluding them in a monitoring network. These are all necessary, among others, for theelaboration of a new hydrogeological model which integrates all aspects of geophysical, geological, hydrogeological, actual natural and social needs. Project partners are tomake information available on the results of the cooperation achieved so far both inelectronic and in printed forms.
