Date du début: 1 avr. 2015, Date de fin: 31 déc. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

A youth leader specialised as a swedish language activities in Turku had an opportunity to do a study trip in Tunis 2012. Theme for the trip was " After the Arab Spring: Youth Work Reality in Tunisia". It was arranged by Salto-Youth EuroMed Rc with co-operation with Tunisian EuroMEd Youth Unit. From this journey a cooperation project had its wind beneath its wings that is carried out by this application. Together with Tunis we decided that the size of the group is 21 youngsters and 3 youth leaders for both Finland and Tunis adding the total number of participants to 48. Profilisation has been done in cooperation with Tunis and their organisation but everything else is done by the youth itself. So that this is a exchange from Youth to Youth and youth leaders are mainly just giving guidance and being supportive. Finlands group chose the theme for the exchange and the theme is party, parties and food and culture that belongs to partying. Both groups and cultures are being introduced by this theme using different kind of activities made by groups endeavouring to get known their own culture to the other group. This was the first parts starting point and now we are planning to execute the second part of the exchange. At the second part of the exchange the theme is still parties and partying in Finland and Tunisia and after orientated on Tunisian parties it is now time to turn heads to Finnish midsummer, new year, wedding in Finland (wedding because in Tunisia the wedding are the biggest and most meaningful parties), candidate for the matriculation examination-cruise (candidate for the matriculation examination-cruise is something that the Tunisians cant experience anywhere else), independence day, christmas and we have also added Womens ja Mothers day to show and educate to Tunisians the meaning and purpose of gender equality. Activities at the camp is based partly in the tools used in Youth in Action program and also based in the terms of youth work and laws and in community pedagogial activities and trainings that the youth leaders have included in part for their own wishes. Daily analysis, feedback and evaluation will be done every evening. We will focus on highlighting the gender equality a lot in the second part of the exchange and special treatment and attention are planned to be given to girls. We also want to hear precisely the oppinion of Tunisian women about the status and position of women in Tunisia. Besides these activities and workshops there will be a visit to Finish families on the program in order to get to know Finish culture. Also wintersports are on the program. Age of the participants will be 13-25. After learning from the first part we have decided to expand the age difference. Age is not an issue to the group and the younger ones get along with the older participants. Participants are mainly the same that in the first part and the starting point is still the own intrest and activity to this exchange wich has been great. However the participants are selected originally by the youth leaders in order to gather youth that need social support, social cohesion, cultural knowledge and cultural bath to understand disparity and inequality. Groups participants also has panic disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and physical difficulties. In the first part we allready noticed uplift in self-esteem and in social intercourse. In camp itself the psychoactive substances are strictly forbidden and we will obey laws of Finland and principals of Turku youth service respecting our Tunisian friends Muslim backround. Camp language will be English but Arabic and Finnish language will be learned diligently without forgetting the hypnotic effect of expressive behavior. We have chosen march 14-23. 2015 to be the point of time of the camp. In this time there will be holiday from school in Tunisia and also possibility of winter in Finland that the Tunisians especially requested to experience. Camp will last 10 days because the 8 days of first part was too little and too tight. Result and visibility was achieved allready at the first part when Turun Sanomat made an article on their magasine and Tunisian news interwieved Finnish and Tunisian participants concerning youth exchange. Besides this numeral facebook-groups and conversations are held impetuous at the very moment while writing this. These are all accomplishments of the first part. Camp itself is part of a bigger conseption that includes targets and objectives of this project. 2 years itself is a long project to youth but with succesful project they will be combined to it and because of that they have been imperceptibly chained to learn language, culture, taking part, being part, advertising and marketing. Fun and failure, especially if happened to others will be shared with others. Youth Leaders will monitor and give guidance through project. Youth leaders will take responsibility of failure but also asks youth to tolerate it.
