A youth leader specialised as a swedish language activities in Turku had an opportunity to do a study trip in Tunis 2012. Theme for the trip was " After the Arab Spring: Youth Work Reality in Tunisia". It was arranged by Salto-Youth EuroMed Rc with co-operation with Tunisian EuroMEd Youth Unit. From this journey a cooperation project had its wind beneath its wings that is carried out by this application. The main object for this project is to reach youngsters through ages 14-18 from both Finland and Tunis. Youngsters for this project were selected by their own intrest. From this group of youngsters the youth leaders chose individuals that needed a special attention and special need to defying their identity and also individuals that allready had these qualities. Group was also intented to be kept gender sensitive and for that we have allmost 50-50 equality between girls and boys. Together with Tunis we decided that the size of the group is 21 youngsters and 3 youth leaders for both Finland and Tunis adding the total number of participants to 48. Profilisation has been done in cooperation with Tunis and their organisation but everything else is done by the youth itself. So that this is a exchange from Youth to Youth and youth leaders are mainly just giving guidance and being supportive. Finlands group chose the theme for the exchange and the theme is party, parties and food and culture that belongs to partying. Both groups and cultures are being introduced by this theme using different kind of activities made by groups endeavouring to get known their own culture to the other group. After this exchance camp planned in Finland it is intention to do the same in Tunis with the same groups through the next application round. Theme and groups will be the same for both cooperation partner countries. The exchange camp is scheduled to be 8 days. 10. of august to 18. of august 2014. Youngsters are going to gather together minimum twice a month before the camp going through different activities and partythemes and schedule for the camp. Pricipal is still that the youth leaders have chosen activities for the group so that teamwork will come familiar to each. Activities based on trust and own cultural knowledge is present every time. Endeavour is to bring up their own cultural identification and how does the parties affect to it. The group will also become familiar to Islam. One of the youth leaders is muslim. The whole schedule is done overlapping with the activities so that the exchange camp in Sauvo, Ahtela is their own and looks like what the youngsters want and need also that the participation in every step is based on voluntery of youth themselves. Activities at the camp is based partly in the tools used in Youth in Action program and also based in the terms of youth work and laws and in community pedagogial activities and trainings that the youth leaders have included in part for their own wishes. We will get to know conventions supporting sobriety through Christmas, New Years eve, Labor day and candidate for the matriculation examination parties theme. Daily analysis, feedback and evaluation will be done every evening. The whole camp will be evaluated separately but the main goal is to add and strengthen youth own cultural identity and also to begin to build a cultural curiositys need in youth especially in individuals that does not willingly leave their own enviroment. National and international nurture in these cases will be incomplete and will be affected through adultery attitudes and impacts also in whole Finland and its nation. EU is a distant byrocracy to these youngsters but in the same time they have to think and ponder why they are interrested in this project and how to fullfill applications and by that they will increase the understanding of impact on each individual and that it actually really do matter. Our youth group has created a facebook-group that they will share with the Tunis youth. Camp language will be English. Camp itself is part of a bigger conseption that includes targets and objectives of this project. 2 years itself is a long project to youth but with succesful project they will be combined to it and because of that they have been imperceptibly chained to learn language, culture, taking part, being part, advertising and marketing. Fun and failure, especially if happened to others will be shared with others. Youth Leaders will monitor and give guidance through project. Youth leaders will take responsibility of failure but also asks youth to tolerate it.
