Language is something alive, something that changes every day, which is malleable and unpredictable. Language is adapted to the way of life of the people in a community, their schedules, customs, holidays, climate, history ... and so on. And all this factors, at the same time, are reflected in the language. That is the reason, we can find many differences between American English and British English, because of their differences in culture. The first thing we have to do when we are going to teach a foreign language, is to present the way of life, role of families, social and work organization, religious values and festivities -among other-, of the country where people speak the language in study. It is important to note here that, when selecting supplementary materials, choosing authentic materials –which goal is not teaching a Second Language-, such as: newspapers, magazines, television, materials on the Internet is most useful, as well as getting students involved in designing materials themselves. Finally, this will definitely contribute to students’ success helping them achieve communicative competence which is the ultimate goal of teaching a Second or Foreign Language. Forgetting printed material specifically for teaching second language.
General Ogectives:
Learn a second language through its culture and learn culture through its own language.
Create new materials.
Obtain general results to probe that this method could work as a teaching method.
Use authentic materials like, newspapers, magazines, films, television, maps…
Introduce children in the use of ITC as indispensable material.
Involve children in searching for materials.
